My husband, two children and I have lived at San Carlo for approximately 7 months, and still have another year or so left on our lease. So far, we've had nothing but great experiences with San Carlo. Maintenance fixed everything that needed fixing immediately upon moving in. And any calls we've made regarding repairs or maintenance have been taken care of in sufficient time. The landscaping and cleanliness of the properties are kept in near perfect condition. The owners of pets seem to be so great about picking up after their pets. Although we've seen quite a few people walking their dogs, we've never had any problems hearing dogs barking loud or being noisy. Overall, it's a beautiful quiet community, and everytime friends and family come into town, we're more than happy to show off our home. If you have children, it's great because you live near 3 nice parks, one of which is in the complex, although I wouldn't recommend it for the younger children. We love it here.

Beware though, the rent cost seemed pretty pricey when we moved in and apparently is only getting more expensive. We hope that by the time it's time to renew our lease we can still afford it! That would be the one downfall that could cause us to have to leave.

The one complaint we do have is the gym! An absolute joke that should not be called a gym! I visited many other apartment communities that had much more elaborate gyms for their tenants. The gym at San Carlo is barely the size of a small bedroom. I hope the Irvine Company will consider remodeling the gym for us tenants who would like to use it, and who pay the outrageous rent charged. (Some of that money should be put towards our benefit as well, right')

We've just been notified that we have a new Community Manager. I believe she lives in the community as well, so let's hope she's great!
