I've lived here for about 11 months, was one of the first people to move into Cambria. Even from the very first day I moved in, I've heard booming bass above me. I've complained about the noise oh...probably 30 times over the last 11 months. I wake up on Saturday (7:00 a.m.) mornings to bass. I come home from work to bass. I sit watching football on Sunday....to BASS. They say they have talked to the residents each time but nothing seems to change. The residents make up stories that they weren't playing bass. Sure. I mean it's bass from 8 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. It's not the 1 hour, it's the 11 straight hours of it. Those people really need to get outside or something. Believe me, they do it on purpose. I complained a few times and they turned it up immediately after placing the phone call. Immaturity is an understatement. It's a lot of money to pay for no peace. It's a very loud apartment complex. I'm not even old, just over 30, with a great zest for having fun. I play music too, I just play it within reason or with some respect to my neighbors. It's beyond that. I need SOME peace. Just a smidge. It's not all bad, I'm not here to just slag on the place. The apartment is nice really. The gym is really great but closes at 10 p.m. which bothers me since I don't get home most night from work until after 7 p.m. Swimming pool is very beautiful, like a resort. The staff has been courteous and friendly to me but the complaints really haven't gone anywhere. It's really about how paper thin the ceilings are! The noise is WAY too much for me to take anymore and I'm moving out. I'm definitely not the guy to post something on an apartment review but I felt I had to just to know how loud it can be here if you get the wrong neighbors. That and don't leave your windows open in the summer, you'll here plenty of drunk kids outside at 4 a.m. I go out myself but funny how I don't go yell outside late at night when I come home.
Take away the noise, I'd probably still move due to the price and that it's kind of far from everything except for the Spectrum Center, which is nice to have walking distance away. I love being able to walk across the street to watch a movie. The noise just isn't bass, it's loud banging like people jumping off beds and landing on the ground at 3 a.m. I can even hear babies crying and animals running on the ceiling. It's kind of amusing if not so frustrating. Still a good apartment without the noise, which you could get lucky if you have the right neighbors.

I completely understand how you feel. It's the Irvine Company. They build these nice communities, but you're right - the walls are paper thin. I would probably live in one of their places for years and years, but we hear noise, as well; we hear every single movement from our neighbors (and while it's rude of them not to be more courteous, I blame the Irvine Company). Concrete is sweet. I'm going to be moving, too. I'm looking at buying a house. Too bad.

The noise is horrible. I can hear every loud stomp of my elephant neighbors upstairs.

I think we must be neighbors - either that or there are more loud obnoxios people intent on keeping us all awake. (like the fire alarms aren't enough)
