Be careful before you rent here

In an effort to rent these upscale and expensive apartments, the Irvine Company is willing to rent to UCI college students. But in order for college students to afford the high rent, they have to have lots of roommates in the apartment to share the rent. So, some of the apartments have 4 and sometimes 5 college students. Now, college students like to drink and party. They stand outside their apartments, often drinking and smoking and talking loudly. Sometimes the music is very loud. Often they hop from apartment to apartment and slam the doors because a lot of them know each other.

So, if you move to Turtle Ridge, you have to get lucky not to have college students living next door and/or close by. (And this is a huge negative, and one that would make me think twice before renewing my lease.)

Rating the rest of Turtle Ridge:

Positives:
The staff is great.
The complex is new and nice and clean.
Nice pool area.
Carpet inside the apartment is OK.
Good location, just off the 73 Freeway.

Negatives:
The rent is very, very high, but obviously not high enough where people can't pay it.
Quality of some things inside the apartment is disappointing considering the high rent.
Shower & baths are very small. (You won't be having any romantic baths with your significant other.)
Washer & dryer is the cheaper model, without a bleach or fabric softener dispenser inside.
Garages are very narrow, but the car does fit.
Apartment complex is next door to Mariner's Church, so on Sunday the traffic can be pretty bad.
And again, the biggest negative is that for the very, very high rents charged, they should not be allowed to rent to big groups of college students. There should be a limit to how many roommates per apartment. And they certainly should not allow these college students to drink alcohol on the stairways and be noisy.

Regarding the college student issue: You have been warned.
