Turtle Ridge as a community

I was just made aware of this website from my neighbor the other day. It is a good website but I have noticed that it is biased. I have lived in my townhome for 2 1/2 years now and I have noticed that there have been some changes with the employees in the office. The comments made make it seem like they have been fired but with the service I have received from them over the years, I heard they were promoted or moved on. The community is well kept and when I need something fixed maintenance responds rather quickly (within 1 day). I really feel that residents that have had a bad experience come to this website to make the apartment look bad but they are only speaking from one side of the spectrum. More residents should be made aware of this website so they can voice the positive experiences they get from the property and staff not just the bad ones that some jackasses with free time post to this site.

turtle ridge is the worst if you like its cause you got in two years ago and don't pay much because when the rented 2.5 years ago it was for 20% less then what they charge now. so for what you pay not expect much. the staff all gets new jobs cause they get sick of dealing with un happy people you are fool if you think anything else. and you paid what for your deposit $200. i don't think you have a clue what is going on or what service or nice is.
try to live in the reality of today. its hell to live here for the price there is no place to park its loud and to many people for one pool an hot tub

First, I am an attorney billing 200 hours a month, so do not have a lot of "free time" to post on this site. I posted my review, "Went Downhill Over My Three Years There," to assist young professionals like myself in evaluating where to live. I rely on these posts in evaluating where to live. Second, who is going to take seriously a review from an adult who refers to others posting opinions that are different from theirs as "jackasses"? You do not sound very mature or intelligent. Third, please explain how the reviews are "biased." Do you mean they are biased because they are from actual residents of the community as opposed to management? Do you mean they are biased because they are from residents of apartment units as opposed to the more prestigious "townhomes" in the same community? Or do you simply mean they are biased because they are from people with high standards? When you state that residents are "only speaking from one side of the spectrum," what two sides of what spectrum are you referring to? People who are and are not happy with the community? This post was clearly from Turtle Ridge's one and only manager/staff member. Your post could have done without the name calling. I would not have responded otherwise.

oohhh you're an attorney, you must be very important. if you don't like it here then go buy a house, we dont need anymore snobs around here. i personally love turtle ridge, its quiet and pretty, once you get past the newport area snobs. you guys need to get over yourselves, there's more to life than how much money you have in the bank and how much your mercedes cost.

Thank you, Attorney, for your comments. I agree with you, 100%. Also, I suspect "Turtle Ridge as a community" was posted by an employee. The place HAS GONE DOWNHILL in the last 2- 2 1/2 years! For example, when I first moved in, the rating on this website for Turtle Ridge was in the 85% approval range. Now it is 68%. That alone tells you the story.

I wonder if we have some important issues, if it would be better for us to get to know each other and maybe have a meeting to address these issues and take them to the manager. I am new here at Turtle Ridge but do have some important concerns and a few complaints already. I don't want to get into any arguing here but would rather meet someone face to face and see if we can present our issues in a polite way to the staff. What do you think?

It's not fair to call someone a snob because they have money or because the are smarter then you. You don't seem to live in the real world, maybe you should leave newport, we will try to get over ourselves.
Attorrney, I am with you my friend!!

I agree with you that that one rater is off base with some of his or her comments, but I absolutely agree with that other rater who posts just complaining about the parking situation on the right side of the complex (to the right of the main gate when entering). I urge you (and everyone) to patrol the complex very late at night...every night. You will find illegally parked cars. Cars parked either in red zones or parked in front of their closed garage door. Turtle Ridge has never enforced the parking rules here. Never. They never ticket. They never tow. I agree with you that there is always parking available at the main office (one does not have to park at the church). But many people over the years are too lazy to walk, so they illegally park. I am not exaggerating...and I have even submitted pictures of the illegally parked cars over the years. The staff does nothing except passing out the occasional warning letter. Oh and your idea about meeting with the management doesn't always work. Ask every manager who has ever managed Turtle Ridge since the very beginning. They all heard all the complaints about the illegal parking at the right side of the complex. They all failed to anything. You have my word, I sent in pictures a lot, over a long period of time.
