Bad management, good maintenance, and nice facilties, but bad management

Me and my roomates were really excited about moving into our new apartment. At first the staff was really helpful, but soon problems arose. At first, we were kind of loud, but after being notified we quickly toned down our volume to be considerate to our neighbors. Even after quieting down, we would receive noise complaints from "slamming doors" to just regular conversation. We'd even get noise complaints from when people weren't home, but it was all blamed on us because they assumed since we were college students, we were the ones making the noise. We could hear every little thing from our neighbors, but we didn't care to complain, because we knew it was impossible to do anything in these apartments without anyone hearing you.
Whenever we had maintenance problems, however, they fixed stuff right away. The staff at the leasing office however, just seemed rude, and was a pain to deal with them. So many nonsense rules make this place more like a place where you should just come home and sleep, not being able to do anything else in fear of a noise complaint. Don't think about playing a stereo or turning on a TV past 8 or 9 pm, you may get evicted.
