Rude, ineffective management staff

I accidently came across this site while "Googling" to find the Mgmt office phone number.

I thought the management staff at Villa Coronado simply did not like me. Well, apparently, they dont like anyone. The main problems we had were incessant ant invasions. The first time coming out of an A/C vent, then from under the kitchen counter, then from a walk-in closet, then from within the microwave...yada, yada, yada.

The first time I went in to report the problem the assistant manager rushed me into the a back room to fill out the forms (there were prospective tenants in the office). This was on a Tuesday, the exterminators showed up the next day to spray, the ants returned on Thursday.

They said it was not a problem as the exterminators would return on the following Wednesday. I guess if you dont mind sharing your home with thousands of little critters, no its not a problem. Just try to collect rent from the little bastards!

What really pissed me off was that the assistant manager acted like I was crazy. The frumpy little b%tch had the audacity to tell me that ants will be a problem if food is left out. Hello!!! No food left out and no ants in the kitchen!!

What the geniuses in the mgmt office also failed to disclose, either purposely or by ignorance, was that state law prohibits exterminators from using the anti-ant chemical in residences more frequently than once every 14 days. Duh!!!!

You would think that with the slow economy, there would be an abundance of personnel who could both walk and chew gum simultaneously...apparently not.

One story I was told from one office staff member was that no one else had an ant problem. Another staffer told me that she too had an ant problem. Yet another told me that Irvine is built on an ant hill. Had I known that, I would have insisted that we trade in our cat for an anteater.

Well, the ant problem went on for a couple of months. After the first couple of times reporting the ant issue, I made it a point to speak loudly enough so that any prospective tenants heard me. Although, it most likely did not have an effect on their decision, I did enjoy watching the staffers cringe a bit.

So, if you have an anteater and want to save $ on feeding it. If you enjoy interacting with rude and unprofessional office staff, Villa Coronado is the place for you.
