PROS AND CONS

I was suprised that there would be any super negative comments about Villa Coronado, but I guess it's the luck of the draw.

When it comes to apartment living, the standard of living dramatically decreases depending upon what your neighbors are like.

There are always pros and cons to apartment living...

so here's my list.

Take into perspective, that I live on the third floor, with a pool view, garage and quiet neighbors.

I don't have any direct neighbors making smelly food or having loud sex next door.

We've only met our downstairs neighbors who are really nice, but haven't really talked with anyone else cuz we have moderately active lives and are not around all the time and apartment people tend to keep to themselves.

PROS:
* Beautiful exterior.
* Never had an ant problem even when we've left food out (but management warned us that this could be a problem before we moved in).
* No complaints about pool noise after 10pm, they're usually pretty good about locking up the gates cuz i see them do it when I drive home at night.
* Great foliage and landscaping, makes me feel like i'm in palm springs when i look outside my balcony or sit in the pool area.
* Can't hear my room mate when we are in each others rooms (our rooms are on the opposite side of the apartments).
* Good maintanance service (my garbage disposal broke at 9pm at night and they came to fix it by noon the next day).
* Have never heard my neighbors' conversations through any of the walls (sometimes I hear the bathroom fan of my neighbors turn on at night, but that's about it).
* Great Pool area - barbecued and swam a few times.
* Garage is decent size for an apartment - skinny but long enough to fit a 4 door car and motorcycle.
* I am usually able to find parking in the perimeter (but I usually come home later than most).
* Great to have laundry access directly in your balcony and the balcony is a decent size.
* The few times I had to come in contact with a staff personnel, they were always nice and curteous.
* Was able to paint my wall any color i wanted (this might change due to the upgraded renovations they're doing).
* Walking distance to a shopping center with grocery store, cleaners, salon, baja fresh, japanese food, chinese food, juice stop, coffee bean and marble slab ice cream, etc.

Nice to walk
and get breakfast or coffee on sunday morning.
* Never had a problem with the gates or remotes, or garage openers.

CONS:
* Trash pick up is on Saturday Morning - Ouch!!!...if you like to sleep in on Saturdays.
Windows are not too thick, I can hear someone walking directly outside my room or having a conversation on the parking lot downstairs.

Good thing I seem to have a quiet building.
* They said that they had trash pick up on Tuesdays and Thursdays outside your front door...I've never had my trash picked up.

It doesn't matter tho, if you leave outside your front door, the crows pick at it.
* Pool noise gets loud during the day, but what do you expect...it's Summer and kids do live in the complex and obviously use the pool.

I don't have a whole lot of negative comments.
I would recommend this place again, but will defenitely be moving out at the end of the year simply because the rent here is higher than what I'd like to pay.
