Villa Coronado

 

If you have any common sense -- don't rent in Villa Coronado you will be sorry!!!

I made the mistake of leasing a 2-bdrm apartment in Villa Coronado over the Internet.

The office person was extremely nice and helpful.

I explained how I worked from home and needed a quiet place to do so.

She assured me the apartment was at the end of one of the buildings and very very quiet.

She also said the front door looked out over a wash which meant there would be no noisy neighbors next to me.

I live in one of the "cottage" apartments which means no apartment below or above.

There are three balconies which seemed perfect for having a quiet cup of coffee in the morning while reading the newspaper.

It sounded ideal.

Then I showed up with a moving truck and reality hit me in the face.

It was at the end of a building, but it was far from quiet.

The noise from the 405 freeway makes watching tv with the sliding door open impossible and forget sitting on the patio because of the noise.

The other two balconies face the parking lot and are also noisy.

Then there is the trash truck that comes at least three times a week usually at night.

There are no apartments below me, but there are four garages underneath my apartment and people are opening the garages doors day and night.

In summary, it is extremely noisy, the parking at times is impossible, the office staff are complete airheads, and it is expensive.

We would have said forget it and not taken the place but we had the movers parked and ready to move us in.
