My experience with Villa Siena has been so-so.
The grounds are, for the most part, beautiful.
Any maitenance requests we've made have all been responded to and fixed promptly.
However, general upkeep has gone down in the past year.
More trash and vandalism are noticable in the garage and around the grounds.
The in-apartment smoke alarms are much too sensitive and cause people not to react to real alarms, due to the frequency of false alarms.
Thoughout the winter months this year (2007) there were several instances of false alarms accompanied by power outages in my building.
That said, we just got a notice that our rent won't be going up this year and without any major complaints, I think we'll be staying here to enjoy our bargain priced place.

"bargain priced place"? You have got to be kidding me. For what you actually get in the actual living space (apartment interior, features and view) most people including myself feel that it is WAYYYY over-priced. The balconies are tiny, if you can call them balconies since they are primarily used as a laundry room for the washer/dryer that is out there. You certainly aren't paying for security or peace and quiet with the vast number of loud and obnoxious students screeching their cars and partying until all hours of the night. Yes, the grounds are fairly nice but if most of my rent is going to watering 10,000 palm trees, I think that is a pretty horrible deal. Assuming your can actually get into the main pool (that has broken gates every week) it is so packed during the weekends, you might as well not even bother. I've lived in many IAC apartments over the years and though I've seen worse, the other places were nearly $1000 less per month. I (like most people) expected more from Villa Siena at the price range they are at. Not in any possible scenario would I call it a "bargain priced place".
