I know many people move for various reasons. If your main concern is amenities, then this is your place. Other than that, this place has nothing to offer. My bf and I were in a bind when looking for a place, and at the time this place had the best "deal" if you want to call it that. In the tour, they take you through the nicest building, using the nicest elevator. But once you get your keys, it's a totally different story.

I remember moving day, I ran into a couple who happened to be moving out. I asked her about her experience here, and her response was "I am so glad to be leaving this hell-hole." I asked her how long she lived here, and she told me "A year too long".

I should have taken that as a sign. The building is layed out like a hotel, the elevator is run down, and usually has some sort of defacement, AND our building is the only building without gas stoves. Some of the tenants here are some of the rudest people I have ever met. You literally have to race for the elevators because no one will hold it for you. In fact, they make sure that they get to the elevator before you so they don't have to hold it. People park where ever they want to, and security does nothing about it. We have a person in our building who parks in the handicapped spot (who is clearly a well able person) everyday. Since we moved in about a year ago, I have seen police and fire engines come through at least once a month, and most recently almost once a week. Apparently one of those times, a woman was found dead in one of the hot tubs.. the reason of death was never given. I've read many stories on OC Register.com about cars being broken into. No one has any regard for anyone else's property. My bf parked on the street once, and comes out to his car the next morning to find a ding on his back bumper. Before moving in, I read reviews about excessive noise. Luckily, our building isn't too noisy, so that must be on the other side of the complex. Occasionally the neighbors below us will have a party, but not to often. Our building is next to the main gate, so the most we hear are cars coming through. This year they informed us they will be raising the rent $75.

Parking is a huge problem. If you have to park on the street, good luck finding a spot after 5:00. During holidays (college students don't have class) you won't be able to find anything either. You can rent an additional spot for $50, although you will have to be put on a waiting list before you can get one.

Oh- we have only had to call maintenance once, thankfully. However, we called them because of a backup in our garbage disposal. The person did come quickly, however, after he left we were then left with a leak in the pipe, so we had to call them back again. Luckily the second time it seemed to have been fixed correctly.

This place isn't horrible, but, if I had to do it again, I wouldn't have moved here.

i agree very much our building is near the back gate and is very noisy, people are rude here and the police are always here, we have had cars broken into, in the underground secure parking, a woman died, a guy was stabbed outside building 40, a woman was assaulted and if you ask the staff nothing ever happens here so why are the police, fire and csi always here!
