At first glance, Villa Siena looks like a resort with beautiful pools and landscaping ... but living here is a totally different story.
Unbelievable noise is the biggest problem. The person that lived above me for the first 5 months came home every night at 2am and seemingly threw himself on the floor and rattled my walls til about 5am. The floor creaked and shuddered when he walked. I could hear every conversation he had and every TV program he watched. I could even here the TV from the apt beneath me. It has meant endless sleepless nights for me, even when I use earplugs!
The guy that lives above me now likes to have parties. He likes to play his music so loud that I get to hear thumping bass traveling through my studio apt for hours at a time. The ceiling is so thin I can hear him snoring at night, opening and closing drawers, I even have the pleasure of hearing his bodily functions in the bathroom.
I've had to call the front gate 4 other times because of kids having loud obnoxious parties in 2 other neighboring apartments from about 2am to 5am. To show their upset with their party being broken up, they set off the fire alarm for the entire building at 5am so we all had strobe lights and piercing alarms in our apts. I rode the elevator with another neighbor that morning as we were on our way to work. We both had no sleep that night and were dragging ourselves in. He lived directly next to the party apt and he actually heard one of the guys laughing and pulling the fire alarm.
Another apt likes to blast rap at 6:30am with her door open and another one likes to have loud sex.
I've spoken with resident services many times (when I could finally get a hold of them)and they've not been much help. They finally offered to move me to another apt (when I asked) but I would have to sign another lease or pay more rent. No moving assistance would be offered and I would have to pay all the cleaning fees in my current apt. After 9 months of misery this is what you'll get.
When I moved in, nothing worked. Not the washer/dryer, electrical sockets, or AC. There was a dead cockroach on my patio and gum stuck to the concrete. My AC and heat have broken 4 times since I moved in.
I have to endure 3 more months of horror until my lease is up, unless I want to pay $3,500 for a lease break. I would NEVER sign another lease here. $1400 a month for this. Unbelievable. Don't move here unless you love to party every day and dont mind noise all the time. Oh and if you have guests, its impossible to find parking after 7pm and car theft occurs on a regular basis. I'm writing this because I don't want this to happen to anyone else!
