I'm soon to be a resident here and was looking for a 1 bedroom apartment but I have no idea which buildings and/or locations are better or worse than others' If anybody has any suggestions, please reply to this post. Thanks.

Wow, that's a toughy... Outside perimeter, of course, has general traffic noise. The preserve smells bad during certain times of the year. Bldg.50 is party city. Direct pool views are noisy. Inside courtyards seem to be fairly good, and apts. overlooking the 'greens' seem resonable. Bldg. 40 has fire trucks at it all the time. Security told me once, that they hated Bldg 20. I think you just need to toss a coin!

Well...as I understand it, the buildings were built from the front of the complex (by the guard gate) to the back...building 40...so I've noticed a difference between the upgraded finishes in the newer buildings than the older ones...I would, personally, avoid pool view units for the reason noted above. I have lived in bldg. 40 for 4 years...haven't noticed smell from preserve (and we have our windows up 24/7) but for some reason people like to tear out of the complex and/or race along Carlson, which is the street behind the building

stay away from 25, definite target of high vandalism. and do yourself a favor and pay extra for a top floor unless hearing everything the people do above is a comfort. I wouldn't move in if I were you. I couldn't wait to get out.

First off, thanks everyone for your responses, much appreciated. I live in a luxury complex now in Los Angeles (relocating for work) and hear the concerns voiced by other people: noise, people not stopping at the gate, and vandalism but thats to be expected and the price is unbeatable. I locked in $200 below market so I have anything from $1275 up which isn't bad for the amenities as long as nobody keys my car (fingers crossed). My hope is to get something in building 20 or 25 overlooking the pool. Since its not the main pool it might not be as noisy during the week. I don't care about the weekend, chances are I'll be next to the pool every weekend or at the beach but the main pools look like they can be chaos. Hoping for 2nd/3rd floor. Is living in a building that does not have a pool annoying since you have to hike over to it or to use the fitness center? For example, building 40? ot have a pool annoying since you have to hike over to it or to use the fitness center? For example, building 40? I heard emptying the trash bins can be loud and obnoxious, any idea where this takes place so I can avoid it? Also if you have any insight in anything else to avoid, it would be appreciated.
