Reading some of these reviews, I think some people have never lived in another apartment complex! Brooklake has been an over-all great experience in my opinion. I have been here for a little over 3 years and I think life here has been consistent. It's always quiet and peaceful. The outside is always maintained very well. The maintenance staff is prompt and efficient. The office staff is nice and usually pretty accomodating.
Other reviews of Brooklake are clearly skewed. Clearly, these people are dellusional. They have never had to deal with a really bad apartment community, rude neighbors, or a crappy management company. Sure, you're going to have a few problems here or there, regardless of what community your at. That's just apartment living. Get used to having a few problems. At least with the apartment, you get everything serviced with ease and for free. If you own a house or condo, there's no land lord to come crying to! You have to pay the entire cost of everything: plumbing, air conditioner repair, gardening, extermination, etc...So stop bitching. At least all of those amenities are free to you! And as for not getting a security deposit back, the person who posted that was probably a slovenly pig who didn't belong here anyway.
As for me, I couldn't be happier with Brooklake. We have quality residents. The appearance of the community is beautiful. My apartment is huge and I have a great backyard. I love the 24 hour fitness center! Whenever I have a problem or need, I am addressed with great customer service! In fact, I just saw a sign yesterday that the community now has a night security watch, in addition to 24 hr cameras and gated entry.
So don't let other vicious reviews sway your interest with taudry and poorly motivated reviews. Brooklake is BY FAR the best place to live in La Habra!

My jaw dropped upon reading this review. Newsflash: the reason there is now a night security watch is because multiple cars, INCLUDING MINE, have been broken into recently. Not just broken into, but my window was bashed in. And guess what they took, nothing. The car next to me was almost stolen the week prior. Also, I happpen to know the people that did not get their deposit back, and i can assure you they were far from "slovenly pigs", unlike some of the latest tenants. In closing, I have had numerous experiences in renting and owning condos, and I stand by everything I said about Brooklake. Can't wait to get out!

As to the new Courtesy Patrol service that was provided by management due to the current activity that was brought to our attention we here at Brooklake always want to address any and all concerns here at the property.
