I should have known better when I first came to view the available units for rent and saw the dead roach in the vacant apt (not the unit I choose). Even though looking for an apt to rent is sometimes very difficult and time consumming I know I made the biggest mistake dismissing the warning sign and rented a unit instead of makeing the extra effort to keep looking only because I needed to rent a place quickly. The building is old and the management does offer to have the unit sprayed if you want but my unit was sprayed the day before I moved in and the pest co left there reciept on the kitchen counter I guess so I'd know they did so but within a week roaches appear climbing on the living room wall and to my horror as I'm watching my new 45inch tv I see a roach run across the screen, when I tried to kill it I found it was behind the screen!!!! and had run out and purchase the strongest roach killer I could find and I bought several, and though I used as directed and they claim to work for 9mos I'm having to constantly use it and kill roaches several times a week. Though I have no doubt I am relocating as soon as my lease is up I'm going to have to do it knowing I now will most likely have to sell off most of my property and replace it before I move or take the chance of relocating the stoaways and continue fighting these horrible pest I NEVER HAD BEFORE I CAME HERE. Oh, I also witnessed a kid have a bowel movement in the swimming pool the first week it was open and management had to close the pool again with a note saying they did so because the had to use alot of chemicals and would remain closed til water test came back as safe and pool was reopened after 2days but I'd have to be on fire before I ever considered the thought of going anywhere near that toilet. Don't even get me started on other tennants here, but I have to say though I have met some very nice people who live here but the nice people have all been seniors and the others I've met who are closer to my age (45) are very shady and I say this because I've been approached more than once by another guy who lives here,trying to sell me stolen property (cell phones). I know I may come across kinda like I think I'm a better class of person than them but that's not the case, I have to call it like I see it and am only writing this in hope that this will help someone who's taking the steps to find a good apt to live in, will be aware that this is not worth the $1150.00 a month rent I pay for this very small 1 bedroom. Mike Porras. p.s. onsite management is very pleasent but it's their job and really don't tell the whole story when you come to check out the place and this is obvious to me because they offer tennents here $100.00 for refering a someone who also comes and rents here.
