Regents La Jolla is as bad as it gets!

I completely agree with every comment posted on this website as well as apartmentreviews.com. I am a long-time tenant of Regents La Jolla, almost 5 years. From day one, the management has gone through numerous personnel changes and has been unprofessional and unaccountable. Monarch is a poorly run and mismanaged organization. This place over the years has gone from bad to horrible. Large dogs are now allowed, noise is a major problem, the place is overrun with wild college students...just terrible. I have never lived somewhere where management enters the apartment so often. The conversion to condos for sale is true. The units are going to be sold. This has been handled in a very poor manner with little information and much secrecy. My guess is that in the event the sale fell through, which it did once, Regents did not want a lot of tenants moving out early in fear, so they shared as little info. as possible. I guess they are sick of acting responsibly and fulfilling their duties and lawful obligations as landlords and that is why they are selling. Since the sale idea came up, things have been even worse. If they cared little before, they care even less now. Security has been cut back to virtually nothing, large dogs are allowed, no rules are enforced. They must be violating lease agreements and probably laws too. Since the units are now going to be sold and you are reading this, you will not be looking at this as a rental option. I guess this is just a forum to vent about what a terrible place this is. The worst is that the managers act so proud, ARROGANT, and smug when they are so HORRIBLE. Also, I am confident they have witheld information regarding the sale of this complex. It really boils down to Monarch. Please avoid their other communities as a renter. They are a very bad company and do not care about accountability. I have lived in several other apartment complexes in CA and other states and honestly believe I can make a fair opinion of the terrible, terrible place Regents La Jolla, Monarch, and its employees are! I hope employees of Regents read this. You all think you are so great and professional, when in truth, by any type of industry standard, you are rude, unprofessional, arrogant, and unaccountable. You should not be proud of yourself nor one day of your job at all - it has been disgraceful and horrible! Obviously the reviews here and on other websites confirm my feelings! Stop fooling yourselves into thinking you are so great- NEWS FLASH....YOU'RE NOT!!!
