Unbelievably Poor Construction / Awful Corporate Housing Choice

One would almost think that these units were built as a part of a HUD program. The walls and floors are so poorly insulated that noise from normal walking around reverberates in the apartment below. You will only appreciate this place if have extremely considerate neighbors (above and/or below; left, and/or right) who are concientious enough to consider how their every move from closing closet doors, to closing kitchen cabinets would affect their neighbor.
The rent here is relatively low for La Jolla, so you will get a lot of college kids and from what I have seen, senior citizens. I feel for the seniors who must bear with this noise in their later years.
I am here temporarily in a corporate apartment, so thank goodness I will be out of here soon. If you are transferring to this area and your company is offering to house you here... just say no. There are plenty of other apartment complexes nearby that are better built.
