A coat of paint can't hide the crappiness

I lived here from 1999-2002. Not a good experience. I moved out just as they completed the "renovations." Those renovations caused rent for all tenants to jumped 40% in 4 months to offset all the money they were throwing into the place. So I (along with many others) had to leave ASAP. It was just as well... I had just had my car stolen out of the carport (directly underneath other apartments and next to a well-lit main stairwell)... so I was ready to get out of there. Management got really nasty for those trying to leave... going back on what we were required to clean before move-out and being nit-picky on the inspection and deposit refund. They even accused me of vandalizing the newly painted staircase railings and hallways on the day I moved out... and tried to charge me hundreds of dollars for it. Unbelievable!! I was able to get proof that it wasn't me... and they were pretty sheepish after that. Anyway... the place is very old and run-down. So don't let the newer paint, burber carpet and new palm trees fool you. You can do better somewhere else.
