Where to begin' Well there's the fact that only some residents pay for water and trash and others don't. And the way they prorate it out...they take the total bill for all the units plus pool, landscaping, etc and divide it up among the few of us that are charged for water. So I'm paying my bills, my neighbors bills, AND the bills for the complex IN ADDITION TO my rent (rent, by the way, is supposed to include operating expenses so we're basically being charged double). The complex is advertised as having balconies, which they quite obviously don't...unless you count the landing at the top of the stairs that is shared by 2 separate units. The pool area was close for most of the summer this year, the office is rarely open during posted office hours, and they are so disorganized they keep sending people 3 days notices (in come cases 1 day notices) because they keep loosing everyone's rent checks. Oh, and good luck trying to do laundry. They have a grand total of 6 washers and 6dryers for 96 units, and on any given day roughly half will work. And not necessarily equal amounts washers and dryers. If we had the money for moving costs (application fees, security deposit, etc) we'd happily buy our way of of our supposed lease.
