City living in the heart of Lafayette - I have lived at Town Center since 2003 and LOVE it. If you enjoy city living (walking distance to everything including BART), this is the place for you. Not safe The Lafayette Highlands apartments leave a lot to be desired. Cars are not safe in the carports, as they are broken into repeatedly. The front gate is very outdated, providing little security. There are no security cameras in the carport areas and there is only a night patrol

Don't Rent Here! The grounds are nice but that is about it. The apartments are extremely noisy. Car break-ins occur ALL the time. You never see a manager walking around th property checking it out. Kids run around frequently without supervision. There is not much good to say about this
