In total truthfulness,I just moved from the Palms Apartments which I had moved into in a state of shower moldiness and ceiling filthiness. With all the cleaning and scrubbing I had invested into the property, the supposedly returned $1,200 security deposit that I placed into my bank account, HAS NOT CLEARED these 10 days later! When after a process of deceptive application for the apartment was completed back in February, I only then discovered that the owner and manager was 89 years old. I had an unspoken renters remorse and it appears to me that my original impression was correct, that the landlord took my security deposit to her grave. What hypocrisy the renter screening process is!

I'm sorry to hear of your experience. I've heard from others that really enjoyed living at the Palms. Your 89 year old owner is a really nice lady, who I'm sure would never have meant to cheat you in any way.
