Horrible, one of the worst experiences of my life!

During the time that I lived at Alicia Plaza I experienced religious harassment from management and later their corporate office. I always paid my rent on time and have signed documents from the manager Stephan to prove it. We complained about the mice and insect infestations and they tried to evict us saying that we had pets when in fact it is against our religious beliefs to keep pets in our domicile.

We later contacted their attorneys about the "letters" we received from them and the attorneys said that they had never sent these letters. We read them back to the attorneys and the attorneys claimed that they save every MS Word document that they send out, and this was not in their files.

Later once Alicia Plaza contacted them about the matter the attorneys refused to comment any further on the matter. This could only mean that these documents were forged or that both Alicia Plaza and their attorneys were lying to us about the matter.

They are now threatening to keep my families deposit saying that we left the place in need of repairs. However I have photos of the clean condition that we left it in that my father and I took the day we left, and we got the manager Stephan to sign a checklist saying that the apartment was clean and there is no reason why our money would not be refunded. Their corporate hustlers now say that "that document is not legally binding because it is not on our corporate letterhead."

Alicia Plaza is a multi-million dollar scheme. It is not a "view apartment" there is only a view of a parking lot! There is no "luxury kitchen." And the 1072 glitter weight set that they say constitutes a "gym" - don't even get me started on that! I often heard children crying when they got in the pool and said that the clorine was burning their eyes. The clorine was so heavy in that pool (to mask the fact that it is poorly maintained) that just walking to apartments nearby it you can feel it burning in your nose (seriously).

Alicia Plaza makes the bulk of their money off of illegal immigrants who pack into their small apartments by the dozens. We have seen entire extended families living in one apartement there. The Sheriff is their usually once a day and on the weekends the place is notorious amongst the local immigrants as a place that illegal immigrants are picked up almost on a weekly basis. Bear in mind that you will be splitting the cost of your utilities with those families packed into the other apartments of your building.

Safety is also a big issue there. A man once came to the door claiming to work for Alicia Plaza and that he was supposed to fix the sink. Since the diskwasher and sink often would break my wife almost believed him and let him in. However, before she could he got impatient and started beating on the door and throwing rocks at the window when she would open up. We often saw people fighting in the parking lot and one man was almost beaten to death. The security gate is broken and left open nearly 50% of the time.

Living at Alicia Plaza was by far one of the worst experiences of my life.
