I lived in this complex a couple of years ago and can tell you that it is one of if not the worst places I have ever lived in! The crime at Alicia Plaza and Alicia Village is beyond rampant. The pest problem is totally out of hand, the grounds are dangerous to walk at night and poorly lit. The pool seems to be a place many people treat as some kind of communal bathtub. (by the way anytime you see some one describing a pool as "sparkling" in a review it is a sure sign of leasing agents writing it)Laundry rooms are disgusting and if you don't keep an eye on your wash, people have been known to help themselves to it, or even add in their clothes trying to get a free wash! (happened to me more than once!) Gangs of children run unsupervised, and gangs of low-lifes hanging about the parking lot harrassing females, not to mention the constant thump of car stereos cruising through the parking lots at all hours. As a former leasing agent I could tell right off the bat that the "happy" reviews have been wriiten by someone in the field by the descriptions alone. I got out of this field because I no longer feel comfortable scamming or duping people out of their money. And I know this is one of the routes they take! Beware! Talk to residents who live there at the apartments you check out NOT the leasing office, they are only there to get your money! In the meantime, save your money,and look elsewhere other than this place. It is NOT safe for anyone!
