We have been for 3 months and I would NOT suggest moving here. Once our lease is up we're out of here. It's been a non-stop attempt to try and get more money out of us since we moved in. We moved in mid month so instead of pro-rating the first month we had to pay the full rent and they pro-rated the 2nd month, so we paid the amount they had given us which was on a sheet signed by both my fiance and the lease office girl then got a note taped to our door (although I was home at the time) saying after an audit of their books we owed them $120. We had no clue where they came up with this so we went into the office and were told that, although we'd been told they were only going to run one application, they'd actually run 2 so we owed them another $35 application fee. The rest of the money was because they had given us a move in date of the 14th but had put the 13th on our application so they wanted an extra days rent. Mind you, we had lived here for almost 2 months before we heard anything about the extra charge. So we went in the office and spoke to the girl who did our lease, she said she would put it in her dispute files and get back to us...we heard nothing until a couple of weeks ago when we got a call telling us we owed the money. When we explained that the other girl was working on it for us they told us she was no longer here. So they were supposedly "working on it" again but haven't heard back again. It came down to one of their office girls making a mistake when she figured our pro-rated payment out yet, rather than admitting she couldn't do basic math, they wanted to charge us for it. And rather than calling us and asking us if it was ok for them to run another application with a $35 at the time, they decided asking us to cough up the money later was a better idea.
We were also given a "deal" with some coupons when we moved in BUT, what they don't tell you until you've signed the lease is that the coupons only apply if you pay your rent before the 1st. If you pay it on the first you then end up paying "market value" aka complete rip off for living in a tiny box. I took our rent in today and was then forced to wait while some airhead flipped through some papers then looked at me very insultingly and asked if we'd paid our water and power bills. I was then told I might have a late fee althought today is only the 2nd, I'd added an extra 100 to our check because it was after the 1st but then was told I was supposed to pay an extra $100 on top of that. Just not worth it for living here at all!!! They should be taking better care of their tenants. Our downstairs neighbor moved out last weekend and the people next to her moved out 2 days ago so it appears a lot of people are getting out. The main reason people move in here is because they guarantee getting you moved in, no matter how bad your credit is.
Since we've lived here we've seen an apt. get raided by cops in bullet proof vests and one night woke up to the sound of glass smashing and people yelling. The units are very old, we have a box air conditioner that doesn't do much, the kitchen is very old and the paint job was done very sloppily resulting in paint blotches all over. If management was better and we weren't being nickle and dimed I would be fairly happy here but there's no way we're staying beyond our lease.
