Liked living here (mostly)

The Prado has actually been one of the best apartment communities I?ve lived in, although to be honest that?s not saying much (most places I?ve lived have been complete dumps). I live in a 2 bedroom apartment: the floorplan is pretty nice, most of the rooms (except for the second bedroom) are pretty sizeable, and the walls are nice and thick, so you can?t really hear your neighbors at all. The only downsides to living here include:
1) Trash pickup is _awful_! You have to pay for it, and they don?t come often enough. The trash bins are constantly overflowing, with trash piled around them kneedeep. Nasty.
2) The parking kind of sucks. A ton of people have their garages full of junk, or don?t use their carports because they?re not convenient for them. What do they do instead' Use the open spaces that are intended for use by anybody (guests, people with second cars, etc.) It really sucks to come home late at night, and drive past dozens of empty carports, but not be able to find any open parking spaces :(
3) The management doesn?t take noise complaints seriously. I used to have some rednecks living near me, who threw big drunken bashes every weekend. Loud music blaring out their windows, people milling about on their patio and the surrounding lawn, and kids screaming, shouting, running up and down my stairs and kicking the door. Lovely. This was a regular occurrence. I complained to the management more than once, and nothing happened. But they were so kind to tell my neighbors that I was complaining about their noise, and they confronted me about it. Talk about unprofessional on the part of the management!
4) The lawncare people start at 7:30 in the morning. If you have to get up that early to go work, then it?s no big deal to you. If you don?t...well, get used to holding a pillow over your head to try and block out hte noise.
If you can get past these minor annoyances, though, the place is a good place to live. Office is (usually) friendly and helpful. Few times I?ve had to call for maintenance, it was done quickly.
