All the reviews that I have read are unfortunately true. My little house guest began arrving days after I moved in (Roaches). When I would go out to my patio, I was sure to bring a can of raid, because on average there would be about 4 at a time hanging out. I have lived here for nearly a year and have had 3 in my house. I called and complained, just asking to spray more often on the outside of the house. It has been better since summer ended and we entered the colder season. We are approaching Spring and I saw one hanging out as I was walking my dog the other day. It is not normal for these buggers to come out and say hello in broad daylight. The complex needs to be completely fumigated as this is a definite sign of a HUGE infestation.
The inside of my apartment is very clean and upgraded. I am happy when I am inside my little domicile. My neighbors upstairs have a munchkin who enjoys running from one end of the apartment to the other in laps starting at 11 pm at night. I can hear my neighbors conversations through my ceilings and walls, so they are paper thin. The complex is primarily a hispanic community with more people than code allows living in each unit. Loud Mariachi music starts in 1st thing in the morning and goes all day long. Young punk kids party everynight 3 buildings over, and I can hear them with my windows shut.
Parking is terrible. I have people that come over park at the shopping center that backs up the complex because primarily it is safer. Continuously, I come home to someone in my parking spot. I dare not call a tow truck because I saw what happens in terms of retailiation.
Crime is big, and I had a prowler. Cars are broken into constantly and even burglaries within this gated community. I informed the police and asked that they do increased patrols to the neighborhood.
The office staff is helpful and kind in an incompetent kind of way. They have had poor training and lose everything. They are very good about Maintenance with me, though. Whenever I have a problem they are readily available to fix it. The maintenance staff on the other hand are down right rude.
They do allow pets and it is a family oriented complex. There are a million kids who play around the complex. It isn't very quiet if you are looking for peace and quiet.
All and all, the complex is growing on me with its quirks. Summer is coming and I will stock up on my raid again because the bugs are coming. A lot of people are moving out right now, and I am not quite sure why. I am thinking that they are jacking up the rent more than the standar 4% CPI. We will see, I have a little while left on my lease. I am not 100% that I will stay or recommend this place, but the inside is nice and the price is relatively cheap.
Just as a word to the wise, pay your rent early, as they will send out a 3 day pay or quit notice before legally/contractually due.
Happy Home Hunting

WHY are you recommending this place? You have cockroaches! You have neighbors who park in YOUR spot and management does NOTHING about it! It does not even sound SAFE here. Big issue, safety, especially if they're children around.
