BLACK MOLD!!!

I moved out of this hell-hole January of 2006!! It had taken the management almost a year to finally replace my stove. The oven and broiler did not work for almost 6 months. They would send someone out but never repair anything. I had lived in the apartment for about 3 years and had been watching it go downhill rapidly. Neighbors with 2-4 families in a one bedroom apartment. The ghetto was moving in and I was thinking of moving out. But I discovered BLACK MOLD in October of 2005. I took pictures and went to the office. I had also discovered that my neighbors had the same issue and the office was not willing to do anything about it. So, the office tells me they will look at the problem. They looked and did nothing. The next day I walk into my home and it is raining in my living room. I called maintence, they never responded. I stormed to the office the next day, they offered me a different apartment but would not pay any moving expensed. That is when I decided it I had to pay to move I was moving as far away from this hell hole as possible. I would not be surprised if 90% of the tenants were illegals. Spanish is the language of the complex. Filth "dirty diapers" and garbage is left all over the parking area and the grounds are a mess. DO NOT put yourself or your family in a unhealthy situation. Even if the rent is cheap, it just is not worth it!!!

I have to agree with you on the maintainence. They come to fix things, but it is never really fixed. Me and my husband have meant some great neighbors, but they are all leaving which sucks cause they were all really nice. I recently had a hit and run on my truck from some lady letting her son whom has no license to move the car! Yea I found out who did it and called the cops. Sad! But now I have black spots above my shower area. So we are going to have to complain which I am sure nothing will be done about it! Like usual! I am just waiting for our lease up date!

Strange but I had a different experience. There was a leak and they I reported my floor wet. They came out right away and treated inside the walls and stuff with chemicals to make sure no mold like that day. THey totally replaces the carpet pad and stuff and redid walls in just a few days when it dried. Maybe new staff, don't know, but they fixed my stuff for no mold.

I think maybe because you are racist and it caused the office to not wanting to help you. I wouldn't be surprised. I work for guest services and sometimes I don't want to help the guest even though it's my job because they are just hard to deal with.
Sorry, but it's unnecessary for you to call out who is illegal or not. Even so, who are you to judge. Just live in peace and mind your own business. It's people who think that they are better than the minorities that get the must SHht because they worry too much about others around them.

Since you have no idea who I am, or what the issues were like in my case you have no right to refer to me as a racist!!! I am hispanic, a legal citizen born and raised in this country. I maintained my apartment and took care of the clogged drains and small items needing repair. However, my stove was something I could not reair myself. Also when I found the black mold, this was something I could mot take care of myself. When it was raining inside my apafrtment all over my furniture, I called for emergency service and NOBODY even returned my call. Horrible service!!! I got tired of door to oor little ladies trying to sell tamales. Or the fruit and vegitable van pulling up in the parking lot. Or the young people that continued to park in my parking stall that would use profanity when they were politely asked to move their car. I am sure that there are tenants in your complex that take pride in where they live. However, I am also sure that after living with families of mom, dad, 2 kids and grandma all living in a 1 bedroom apt, diapers left out in the parking lot, and loud music being played at all hours; they also have decided not to live in the filth of little Tiajuana. There is good and bad in all races, I dont care if someone is black, brown, yellow, red, pea green or purple!!! We are all people!! Some have respect and others do not. Not even self-respect!! I chose to live with people that respect where they live and the people that they share a community with. I chose to have service when it was needed, and to know that my neighbor's children were respectful of others. I know that some of the people you rent to must be non-legal as i would hope that nobody in this country would want to throw their trash everywhere except the trash cans made availabe by management. Something we see quite prevalent in any mexican border town!!! So, pull your head out of your ass, wipe the ---- out of your eyes & ears, look around at the property honestly, listen to your tenants and I am sure you will see, and hear, what others are seeing and hearing.....by the way....do you live at Villa Solana???

B.t.w., I probably didn't need to say anything because the second anonymous poster (I'm guessing tiff still) did a much better job of rebuking the argument than me. Plus, it was over two years old. Goodnight everybody, and thank you SO MUCH for opening my eyes to this place and saving me from a year in misery.
