Never Again

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009
When we first moved in, we thought the community was a nice place to live. It was quiet, the staff was great, maintenance was always good. We had little issues here and there, but nothing too alarming or shocking. That changed however. Parking soon became an issue. Nobody likes to parking in their stalls and use up an potential parking. This is an issue, especially with two cars. We had relatives come to town, all the parking was taken up, so I let them park in my stall. In a matter of 3 hours, the car was towed at an expense of $170. They told my relatives to park nearly 2 miles away and walk next time. Ridiculous. We also had issues with slab leaks, mold, rotting drywall, ruined furniture. Bugs were everywhere. Earwigs, spiders, silverfish, caterpillars, centipedes, ants, etc... Maintenance did their best, and I appreciated this, but the pest guy only services the apartment complex once a week, so there is always the chance he won't get to you. We also found rats in the walls. Rats chewed through our waterline to our dishwasher, leaving us without a working machine. The complex said they couldn't replace the dishwasher until they caught the rat. We waited two weeks, to no avail, and then quickly moved out. Management was good, up to a point, and then complaints fell on deaf ears. This was not an environment I wanted to let my two children live in. The apartments are old, and so is the infrastructure. Parking sucks, you won't get to know your neighbors, and it's generally not a good place right now. I think with some work, it could get better, but as of right now, don't let the low prices fool you. You will sadly regret it.
