We live in a two bedroom, one master, one not apartment. The management told us our rent would be rising from $1075.00 to $1300.00.
Our neighbor pays $1150.00 for the same type apartment. Management said hers would be going up also.
We asked the manager what a two master bedroom apartment would cost. She said $1500.00 a month,(rather steep).
Not too long after this conversation we got new neighbors. They moved into a two master bedroom unit for only $1250.00 a month. $50.00 less than what our new rent will be if we renew the lease and $250.00 less than what they quoted us for the two master bedroom apartment.
Needless to say we are rather curious as to why we were quoted a much higher price than that which is being charged to a new renter from outside the complex.
This weekend I'm going to attempt to negotiate the rent down to something more reasonable. I'm not sure how successful I will be as I suspect there is some hidden bias in the manager's rental policy. SROlYjGrgm2VnM-SactV
