Seaside at Laguna Heights

It just keeps getting worse..... From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 1/5/2006 Years at this apartment: 1999 - 2006   I have lived here almost 7 years. My only complaint was that there is no coat closet, no linen closet and not enough cupboard space. Ok those are pretty significant but the plusses outweighted the minuses. I really liked it for the first 5 years, but the last 2 have just gotten worse and worse every day. Let's see I shall summarize: Grounds Keeping: Mow, Blow and Go crews - they pay no attention to anything. There have been mushrooms growing on the grass for weeks - they are now about 8" in diamter now! If a can is in the bushes, it stays in the bushes for over a month. Maintenance: They are understaffed and complain about anything you ask them to do - excuse me, it's your JOB! Parking: There is none - 'nuff said. Safety: We are supposed to have a security patrol -yeah right. He locks the pools and that's it. Kids hang out on the stairs between the 2 levels and do drugs. The office knows - aprently they don't care. The Office Staff: What a bunch of morons! The staff changes every 6 months or so and it takes forever to get anything done. Took 2 years to get some lights replaced on a stariway outside. And now they are sending letters to everyone with complaints - can't have a flag bracket, can't have plants on the railings even if they have plates under them. I don't know who is doing this. It used to be fun living here and I was proud of where I lived. Not any more. There are no longer any community events and no one cares anymore. Oh and they are rennovating the apts so they are reducing the lease terms each time and then will boot you out and force you to move into a rennovated unit and jack your rent to market rate. They changed the name from Seaside Meadows to Seaside Apartment Homes. Well they should just take the word "Home" out of that cuz this is more like a Nazi camp then a home. I'm outta here as soon as my lease is up!! This place sucks!
