Not so bad...

I have lived here for two years and I actually like it. Granted, I just moved into a bigger apartment in the complex and have had a few problems (ants/spiders...running toilet), but I think altogether comparatively it is nice. I don't know if people who have written bad reviews have lived in areas that are less affluent, but Laguna Niguel is an amazing place to live, and it would follow that the apartments are in general up to par. I haven't had problems with rodents, though I just moved to a first floor apartment...so we will see!
In the leasing office, Dell is a bit absent minded and you might need to ask a few times before he does what he says he will do, but he is very nice. Amy is sometimes very nice, and sometimes very rude, I think it depends on the day. Maryanne is amazing and will do whatever she can to help.
The pool areas are really nice (you can't fault the management because people don't know how to parent their children - see other reviews), and I always have maintenance out when I call. Sometimes they don't find the problem until I stalk the office, but I am a persistent gal so I generally get what I want. The remodeled apartments are great. I would be curious to find out of most of the people who have had problems had older or newer apartments, because I know that the management wants to remodel everything, but they have to get people out of the old apartments first. This could be why the rent is increasing so much. On my remodeled apartment, my rent only went up about $25 at my lease renewal, which is definitely reasonable.
