Parking is not good - if you don't have the 1 assigned spot per apt, you will park on the street. There have been no less than 6 break-ins (where I've seen the glass on the ground next to a broken car window) with cars on the street. I've also seen a car that got rammed as it was parked on the street. I think the break-ins are because of poor lighting and inadequate parking & the ramming was just probably from some drunk resident coming home. The maintenance staff is good & friendly. The apt. manager is friendly but comes across as somewhat not very genuine (confirmed by several other tenants & other reviews.) Please note - I've never had a problem with her. It's not a "dumpy" place to live, but it's definetly not an upscale, modern, updated home. The vents/fans in the bathrooms are also inadequate. This is also confirmed by other reviews/tenants. That basically means that mildew & possibly mold can grow/form on the walls. The manangement will charge you to "clean this problem up" - basically, they just painted over the growth. The heating & A/C are also inadequate. Not the manager's fault/problem - but when these were built, they basically cut corners w/the heating & A/C unit. This is also confirmed by other tenants. The management company does impose an annual rent increase so just be prepared. Our particular dishwasher needed some service as well. This is a fairly honest review from a responsible tenant - we kept our particular unit clean & nicely furnished. Keep in mind that apartment living is just that - apartment living. It's not going to be perfect, but I do feel that Crestwood could use some improvements & positive changes. There are definetly MUCH worse places to live in Lake Forest, but there are also better. Do some research & you may decide location/price fit what you're looking for @ Crestwood. Likewise, you might find that you can find many other places. Good luck.

this is your opinion and your opinion indicates possible break-ins on the STREET, which is city property not crestwood. There have been no break-ins on the crestwood property and I been here for years. Also the city of lake forest mandatates how many streets lights are to be on the street. This is not a crestwood issue. I actually like this area, it is queit and I really enjoy living here
