This is just meant to help people hunting for a good apartment, and only my personal experience and opinions. I have not lived there in almost a year, so things could be different.
The one thing that stands out in my mind is how I saw people rifling through the trash dumpsters fairly often, even after reporting this to management.
The other thing that I, as a single young professional found irritating, that maybe someone else wouldn't be bothered by, is how many older people and large families were there. Personally, I did not like being surrounded by elderly people or small irritating children. Forget about using the pool without the risk of having to deal with families and kids. It is not geared for a single career minded person in my opinion-mostly families that cannot afford OC housing and more expensive apartment prices and retired older people.
The building is also an older one, however that didn't cause me any problems and the grounds were kept up very nicely. Very quiet place overall when I was there, everyone seemed to keep to themselves. But occasionally some domestic arguments the neighbors could overhear. Maintenence was pretty good, the office staff was pretty nice and professional. Its also a dog friendly place if thats a need with you. For me, I didn't like being around lower income type people. And yes, they raised my rent signifigantly from the special that attracted me(which is standard)Don't expect to have a great price forever in that case, and remember, your neighbors are drawn in by the lower rent ranges also. At least when I was there, its been close to a year. Very pretty, peaceful grounds though.

it seems like you would like living near older people being the "young carrer minded" person that you are. Haha its not like they are going to have long, binge drinking parties into the night! It doesn't seem like you know what you want at all!
