I've lived here for 10 years and couldn't be happier with the new staff. Sean and Bill are really picking up the pace around here and you can see that a lot is getting done. Although they could communicate a little more with their residents, I appreciate the fact that they handle my requests quickly. I see cars being towed that have been sitting for a long time, we've had two resident get-togethers since Sean took office and the morale really seems to be heading in the right direction. The rent definately has gone up since my last lease, but I'd rather pay a little more for a better community. Sean! When is our next Resident Party - can't wait! odusyNYCcZ7yL3Bj5JtG

OMG..sounds like you have a thing for Sean. As far as I can see, he has done ---- to improve the place. Much better apts out there for the price Westridge charges. Risa was the best. Even Bill had to park in his garage. Now, his two vehicles are taking up space. I have NOT seen one car towed.

I'm sure you think Risa was the best - it's too bad you associate yourself with "shady" ex- employees, 'cause you may have had a good point, but now no one can trust your judgement. There's a reason she' didn;t last too long.

Management comes and goes. The bottom line is how much does it cost to find affordable housing. I use affordable as a loose term, as what is affordable for one person, might excessive for another. I just received my lease renewal letter, and Westridge (WNG) bumped it up $169.00 per month. Five days later, they gave an offer for $500.00 off the first months rent! I think they are re-thinking their position on these excessive rent increases.

AAhhh, so you work in the office. How else would you know she was considered shady? Just don't say it, post facts to prove it! You don't even know me, so how can you say no one can trust my judgement? I have NO evidence that Risa was shady. Hey, are you Brenda? Ha, maybe your are Sean. With so many people leaving the complex, they SHOULD rethink things over. How do you all like their new "law" saying we can't have anything but a doormat outside our doors? Bottom line is...there are much better places to rent for the money.

So, does my newspaper getting delivered on a daily basis, constitute a violation, since it's in the "entryway" and could cause a "fire hazard"?

In my opinion, WNG has neglected this place for many years, and has finally put some money back into their investment, i.e., resurfaced the parking lot, painted 1/2 of the buildings, installed new garage doors, and now installing new mail boxes. Who pays for this??? Well it's not WNG! The residents pay for this, through increased rents. WNG is not going to let these improvements hurt the bottom line on their profit and loss statement!

I don't care about any of the local property manager's. They just pass on corporate policy. WNG owns 5 of the 15 apartment complexes in Lake Forest. If you check out any of the other 4, you will see that each, has a comparable increase in rent.

Given that the Lake Forest City Council recently ruled on a bill that is more lenient on the conversion of apartment units being converted to condo's, could this be their motive? Something to think about...

The residents of Western National properties should not be gouged with 14%-20% rent increases because of mis-management of corporate revenue in the past years. For goodness sakes, most people receive raises at about 4%-8%!
What's the story on a $500 discount being offered? Why aren't all current residents being given this discount? Not offering this dicount to ALL is a VIOLATION of "Fair Housing Laws" and constitutes "DISCRIMINATION".
Western National Property Management seems to need of a refresher course on "Code of Ethics" and "Fair Housing Principles". While they're at it they should also brush up on the VIOLATION of "BLOCK BUSTING". (Which is raising prices to force people out of a certain area.)
Management's come back to complaints has been
We're running a business and that's that!." They also are not under any government rent control guide lines. Therefore, since Western National owns 33.3% Of the Rental Market Share in Lake Forest(5 out of 15 complexes)they have the MONOPLY and the general public gets screwed.
