While the previous office staff was nice and accomodating, there has been a rush of turnover in the past year and now it is hard to even get someone to answer the phone.
Maintenance is shoddy. I had two different maintenance guys come by to look at the leaks around my window. Then the 'head' of maintenance came by, unkepmt and reeking like cigarettes. My apartment reeked like him for hours. Still haven't got the leak fixed, and that was months ago- now the paint is bubbled up and chipping off from the damage. I gave up even trying to get it fixed as I'm moving out the second my lease is up. HUGE pest problem (Ants throughout the apartment, and under the carpets. Mice in the ivy outside your door). Parking sucks. Even the 'covered parking' stinks, as the overhangs are so old, paint and metal slowly fall off and onto your car. The wooden walkways to the apartments are dangerous in the rain, there's no grip and you can slip and fall really easily. Pools and Hot Tub were closed for a time by the County Health Department (wouldn't catch me in them!). Garbage overflows in the garbage areas, causing a garbage-sewer stink for a 100-yard radius (it's hardly ever cleaned well). And lastly, they try to raise the rent $150-$200 each time you need to renew your lease, citing the apartments being 'under market value'. Hint: Argue a bit, and you can get it lowered, but they'll still raise it too much! The only reason I've stayed so long is it was convenient to the ferry, but no easy commute is worth this dump! I'm outta here!
