I have lived in MSP for over two years now and I can tell you that things have improved significantly over time. The new management is much more professional and zealous (sometimes overzealous) than previously and conditions around the complex have also changed for the better. Maintenance is quick and efficient, the pool is well taken care of, noise insulation is excellent, the surroundings on the east side of the complex are becoming pleasant and vibrant (no so much those on the west side, railroad avenue and beyond), rent is still reasonable (although subject to sharp and unexpected hikes). The two things that I think are still very bad are guest parking (super-limited) and trash and recycling. The one trash compactor and the three (if you are like, usually two) recycling bins are completely INSUFFICIENT for a community of that size. On top of that a lot of residents show their ghetto manners by dumping all kinds of appliances, furniture, etc. I just don't understand why management has not done more about this. Trash managment is totally third-world.

It is too bad that this group of management staff had been replaced. The last bunch were wonderful and friendly and great to talk to, but now it is the opposite. The garbage area is really disgussting, and if someone from maitenence does not compact the trash often then the garbage bags end up everywhere. It always smells, I have seen several rats in there, although not in the last few months. I always see people going through the garbage for cans and bottles. I have had to call LPD twice because there are 3 bumbs that like to hang out by the trach compactor and drink and be loud as hell. I am not that close to the trash and I can hear them carrying on at 1 in the morning.
