I moved in April 2007 with no rental experience. Rent is pricy but it's worth the price. The assistant manager of the complex is nothing but helpful and any of the staff is willing to fix a problem. Walls were clean and white, carpet looks new and clean.

DONT be fooled by the fireplace! I've seen many posts about the fireplace not working but it is only decoration!!! It isn't supposed to emit heat!

Laundry room is 70% of the time empty.
Parking is always availible.
Lots of lights and outlets.
2 full size closets, and two half closests.

I am upstairs and the stair case going up scares me when it's wet but other than that it's been fine.

Maintenance dont speak much english but fix problems promptly.

My unit faced pool and fountains which were tough to get used to... hours of the fountains are 8am to 8pm and have varied from 7am to 8pm sometimes. They are loud to come on but muffle the sound of the other tenants well.

Landscaping every friday... very noisy around 9am

Whenever property has major construction to be done they always write a note and leave it at your door forewarning you of the inconvienance.

Had problems with downstairs neighbor smoking and the smell coming into my bathroom, problem was "fixed" and then came back.

Appliances work great, great new microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal and oven.

All in all I love this place and will be sad to leave.

This review must have been written by the staff because most of the statements are untrue. The laundry room is always filled, at least in the evenings. Maintenance staff speaks english but are very unattentive. The parking is always a problem. Just the other night, there was a fight in the parking lot over space. And the note they left regarding 6 weeks major construction 1st came in May saying that the construction would be completed in June. They never even started our construction until August and then gave us a 3 day notice over labor day to say to remove everything from the patio area for 6 weeks of construction. When I talked to the manager, her suggestion was to put the Gas Grill in the living room. You must be talking about a different complex than Portola Meadows Apartments.
