This complex finally finished a lot of it's renovations. The new tenant lounges atre great with large windows overlooking the ocean. The business center is really nice, with 2 new computers and high speed internet access. It has laser printers a fast copy machine. It also has a new conference room. The whole business center is free to use. In fact, the business center is better than most hotels that I've stayed at. The lounge area is really beautiful with real flowers and plants. It hard to believe that it's the same building that I've lived in for 7 years. They are still building the coffe shop/cafe, and I look forward to when that is finished. They are also supposed to have a pool soon. The lobby also looks great. This complex looks so much better now, and thank god that the construction noise is over. We now have DirecTV capability...no more cable.
The office staff is friendly and I had several maintenance requests with my apartment, but they all have been solved with 1-2 days.
parking is tough with two cars in a one bedroom unit, because we only have 1 space assigned. For our second car we have to find street parking. Fortunatly, there is a park nearby, with plenty of parking, but it can still be a hassle.
As for rent, It is still fairly high, and a new luxary complex with lots of amenities will open in downtown Long Beach, and there rents are lower than 1900's rents, but overall, I think when the pool is done and the front landscaping is done, the place will be beautiful. Overall, I'm glad that I ended up staying here.
