It's hard finding a decent apartment in walking distance of downtown Long Beach, without paying an arm and a leg. Bellamar provides a relatively modern building (in terms of construction and security) at a fair price - including appropriate handling of security deposit after closing the lease. The pool and spa are kept in above average condition, and the rest of the building (laundry room, gym, etc.) average for this level of apartment. Unfortunately the units themselves are very small (whether studio or 1-bedroom), but for a relatively short-term stay I can still recommend it.

Archstone took over the property from Bellamar in Fall 2007. It's now expensive, and the management is not providing the service that we deserve.
