Looks nice on the outside but.....

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2005
I was new to the Long Beach area when I moved into Camden Harbor View. The apartment was almost brand new at the time and had a great location. The leasing agent offered a bonus for signing but the offer was valid only on that day, so I felt pressured into signing.
The living experience grew more and more unplesant over time. I lived there for a year and a half, and the management raised the rent every single time the contract was due.
Most residents I knew shared negative comments especially towards the management.
The majority of the residents were young college kids that were loud.
There was one case of car break in and the management alerted the residents to be aware and added extra security guards which did a better job at harrassing the residents rather than protecting.
Building maintenance was also an issue. With a number of pets in the building and lack of maintenance, that smell on a hot summer day can be overwhelming.
Some of the neighbors that left before me had bad experiences with their deposits being returned and with unreasonable damage claims.
It is not a suprise that there are no long term residents and that there are so many vacant rooms.
