How would you feel if the apartment send you a letter from the collection agency 2 years after you moved out asking you for $300' And that's w/o contacting you before they hand it over to collection. That's all I gotta say.

Wow! 300$ for what though? Did you owe money upon moving out, or is it from some random bullcrap reason they don't even specify (which I'm willing to bet on pretty much)?

Several residents got letters taped to their doors last week demanding surcharges and misc fees that were posted to their accounts AFTER rent was due on the 1st. This came in a form letter threatening to lock them out of their apartments unless it was paid. My neighbor showed me his and said this was the first time he had ever seen the charges (they were posted to his account on the 3rd). I know managment is bad, but I never dreamed they could be this callous.

Outrageous! You should absolutely dispute this and hold Cmaden accountable.
