The washer/dryer in unit is a nice perk, and the unit is overall clean & spacious. The location is convenient in that it is close to many restaurants. However, I have concerns about the air quality given the ships and trucks going to/from the port. (There is consistently a layer of soot on outdoor plants and air purifier filters quickly turn black.) However, our main discontent has been because of the management. The staff turn over often, so aren't necessarily experienced. Also, the frequent changes in rules as the management changes are quite frustrating. (When we moved in, they assured us that a BBQ on our patio would be fine. Then, we got a notice subsequently outlawing patio BBQs!'!') Also, guest parking is quite difficult. Additionally, several major repairs were required for our apartment to prevent health hazards shortly after we moved in.

Living there, I soon learned the "rules" change with each new manager, which is about every 4 -6 months, max. I have never seen any other place with such a high turnover. It got to be a joke among my neighbors and me - we would lay odds on how long the new person would last. The winner got a bottle of wine from the wine store at the front.
