I moved to Long Beach two years ago on a four to five year contract. I anticipated a happy four to five years when I moved to Camden. At the two year mark, I self-moved down the street because of my major dissatisfaction with Camden. Everything that's been written here about the staff is true. They truly act like we the tennants are a nuisance when we come into their office, unless it's to drop off rent. Maintenance is horrible; we waited several months for many things to be repaired. Some things never were. One should be able to buzz a visitor in by telephone; this was broke the whole time I was there. But it wasn't so bad, really; my visitors knew to just give the door a swift jerk, and they'd be in. Speaking of which, feel free to give yourself a tour anytime you want. The noise from the garage across the street at night is non-stop; if you're facing Seaside Way, good luck getting sleep with windows open. Upon clearing, nobody accompanied me to "final out"; this is their policy. They claimed that my apartment needed cleaning after I cleaned it cleaner than it was when I moved in, and garnished my deposit. The only positive thing I can say about Camden is the garage. Which I still use occasionally, even though I'm no longer a resident (that system is broke too!)

The Camden is getting worse by the day as adults are moving out & College Students are moving in, on weekends the place is more like a frat house with the partying & screaming that goes on. The people in 44008 party every weekend, Security is called & nobody cares, but, pay your rent late & watch how much they care about you....

pay your rent late & watch how much How about being early? I always got a ration of s... if I paid rent early. Sometimes the 15th was too early. This was proof that the staff is lazy and incompetent. THANK GOD I'M DOWN THE STREET! Know what I might do tonight? I might go park in the garage, as close to the Camden complex as I can, and lay on the horn for about 30 minutes.
