I moved in last weekend and the staff was completely unhelpful and rude. I equate their level of assistance with that of DMV workers. They exude bitterness and remind me of indignant spinsters who are mad at the world and their life. There were signs that pointed to the incompetency of the staff before I signed the lease, but I didn't realize the extent of it until I moved in. That being said, the place is quite nice, and it should be for the price. There is plenty of parking and the location is excellent. My only other complaint is that the elevators are slow and there are too many barking dogs in the building (or at least on my floor). I would recommend this place if you can avoid the staff all together.

My original review was written in May of 2008. It has been almost a year since I've been living here and I can't wait until my lease is up because I'm outta here! This place seriously sucks. I can't stand the staff, there is dog sh *t all around the property, there is dog piss in the stairwells, there are rude, disruptive college residents that loiter in the courtyard area after the bars close and I'm paying $2,000 a month for this' Camden, you suck!

All I can say as a former resident there is "GOOD LUCK" you'll need it! My advice is to get a post office box because you can't rely on them to get your packages for you. Be on the lookout for a better place to live and move asap.

Wow! I can't agree more with both those postings! I just moved out last month and it was the worst move out ever. I had to figure it out all myself they were no help at all! They messed up on the amount for the prorated month, so after I paid it they came back a week later and told me I owed more even though I paid what they told me to initially. Their excuse was "The employee that told you that obviously didn't know how to do it" - my response to that is Shouldn't you have employees that know how to do their job? She didn't feel apologetic at all about their staff messing up and forced me to pay the amount due to their error. This happened a few times with rent issues that they couldn't get figured out, they would credit my account with somebody else's rent/utility check then a week after I paid the rent/utilities they stated they would make me pay more. Very frustrating for someone who gets paid on the 1st, makes it a priority to pay their rent first then uses the rest for other bills!
At move out time they basically told me I had to pay this $200 cleaning fee, and if I didn't they were probably going to charge that to us for something anyways.
And about the packages - they lost a very expensive package we had delivered and we are still going through the process of filing a police report to get our package resent. They said it was possible that a maintenance man threw it away. Hello? Isn't it a federal offense to throw somebody else's mail away? They didn't apologize for this either, just stated that there was nothing they could do about it.
Worst management company I have ever been with! The people who work there are very rude, unhelpful, and don't know what they are doing! If you are going to live there make sure you don't expect your deposit back, no matter how clean you are, and if you need something sent, make sure you are home to receive it. In my experience the 6 months that I lived there was terrible!

From my experience, the staff is running around constantly trying to clean up after residents who don't clean up after themselves or their pets. People need to be accountable and not expect the world to be their pooper scooper
