Terrible, Unresponsive Management

I have lived here for a year now and am SHOCKED by how unprofessional and disorganized the staff in the management office are (they are very young and don't treat their job or the tenants with any sort of professionalism or dedication). They have lost my rent check, lost my automatic rent deduction form, lost my maintenance requests, and lost my written request for a parking space. Then the manager tried to imply that I was lying about turning in several of the afore-mentioned forms...however, some of them had been faxed to the office and I had the receipt of transmission! The manager was more concerned with defending her employees than in making an earnest effort to improve their customer service.
Drug dealers hang out on the front steps and harrass and intimidate visitors. Car break-ins are FREQUENT - please take this as a warning. The plumbing is a major problem: our toilet overflows nearly weekly and twice we had raw sewage fill our bathtub when the main plumbling line for the building became clogged (I was told by the plumber who came out to fix it that a lot of residents flush baby diapers down the toilet).
The apartments aren't high-quality - the cabinetry is on the old side and many of the windows don't close properly. Both my stovetop and my bathtub have been repainted many times and it definitely shows - plus they are much harder to keep clean.
Overall, I have been extremely disappointed and upset with the management and quality of this apartment complex.
