This is a very nice complex, with attractive landscaping and decent-sized floorplans. The gated entrance is a joke, because the gate stays open for over a minute after you've passed through it, so sometimes ten or twelve cars go through the gate when only one person swiped their card. Also, one of our neighbors (another Hathaway resident) was robbed at gunpoint in his apartment, and then jumped outside the gate several months later (lucky guy, right')...

A two-car tandem carport is available with the apartments, but most outdoor spaces are reserved; there is VERY LIMITED guest parking, so if you have more than two cars, one of you will be walking in from the street from time to time, but it's a pretty safe neighborhood (for everyone except our neighbor). The balconies/patios are really quite large, and there are plenty of laundry facilities for everyone.

Management is pretty good... maintenance will drop by within a couple of hours for non-emergency calls, immediately for emergencies. The people in the front office are very nice.

The only real drawback to this place is the noise. If you're on a bottom floor, you can hear everything the people above you are doing, and I mean EVERYTHING. I suppose as long as you were up top, you'd be fine though.

Overall, I would recommend this complex to pretty much anyone. We're only moving because our roommate situation is changing and we want to move to Huntington Beach. Otherwise I would definitely renew my lease. :)
