I have been renting at Hathaway for 6 months. I read the comments posted regarding the past employee named Sarah. She handled my lease and was extremely professional and helpful to me, plus she gave me a great deal. I think the negative comments about this apartment are likely from they type of resident that most current residents at Hathaway would prefer to 'weed' out. One of the best things about Hathaway is the maintenance staff. Equity apartments has a service guarantee that service requests are completed within 48 hours, and they live up to this. I recently called about a sink problem and less than 48 hours later, my sink was completely replaced. The maintenance staff was professional, quick, and very clean, which is above average from what I have experienced at other CA apartments. I have lived in many apartments in so-cal and never once had a decent maintenance staff. The only negative thing about Hathaway is the 'wildlife' meaning that with the lovely trees, bushes, ivy, and gerat landscaping; comes unwanted things such as spiders, skunks, oppossums, squirrels, and i have spotted all of these in only 6 months. However, I hear that most areas in Long Beach have these animal/bug problems.
