I lived in this apartment complex when I was a child.. (long time ago.. back in the early 80's). I have to say that there was always drama in the neighborhood. I had a grown man punch me in the middle of the chest for smacking his daughters (they were ganging up on me and breaking my toys I was playing with outside). I was bout 8 at the time.
My best friend in the complex had a dad that lived there go to jail for a bad cocaine habit, and there were break ins four times in one week.
It was a rough neighborhood, and I had to learn how to fight just to survive there. Not one of my fondest memories. We lived there for about five years.

this review doesn't at all seem useful to me cause it's so outdated - i was born in the early 80's and a lot of things changed since!

I to grew up in Parwood apartments (1974 to 1989). I have nothing but fond childhood memories in a complex that was pretty safe and secure. Sadly however, it's my understanding that now it has completely changed and become a breeding ground for criminal activity.

I also grew up in the early 80's in this complex. I was 6 when I left. I had many good memories there, but when you are a child everything seemed ok. It wasn't the prettiest building...that's for sure. I wonderif we knew each other!

i grew up living at parwood apartments as well, even attended parwood preschool. i have the most vibrant warm and happy memories living here from birth in the early 80's to the mid 90's. i would feel completely safe just wondering around the huge complex almost getting lost looking for all the different play grounds. i love our apartment so much that i told myself one day that i would move back there in the same exact apt. a few years back i would drive into the complex and drive around to have a look just for memories sake. but no longer do i do that, nor do i feel like its ever possible for me to live there ever again. its really sad because it was once a very nice place to live with nice decent people as neighbors. it was actually the complex to the right (laneport) that was considered bad and ghetto. so sad!
