In the over 2 years I have lived here the not a month has passed by without the main elevator working properly, Forcing tenants to use the freight elevator; which smells like dog pee. I understand that things do break down but over 2 years of having the same issue isn't forgivable. Prior to moving in management told me that noise wouldn't be a problem; but unfortunately it is a major problem. Too many times I have been woken up at 2am on a Thursday because of shouting and loud music outside my window. The smell of cigarettes and marijuana constantly permeate through the air conditioning vents and the a/c keeps on breaking down and it takes close to a week before maintenance comes in to inspect the problem. That is a big annoyance because I am paying high rent for an unit whose air conditioning does not work while in the middle of a heat wave. mgFDbN4-dhkSMZ7zRmVH

I just moved out after living there for 4 years, and I am sad to leave. Unfortunately, I must move due to a job transfer. My stay at Pacific Court was a pleasant one. I never once had a problem with maintenance, and the building was always in tip top shape. I don't recommend this building to bitter suburbans that are not use to interacting with people. It is definitely a downtown building. I will definitely stay here if I ever move back to Long Beach.

I have never encountered the maintenance problem. The only time it took awhile is because the repair person was afraid my dog would escape if he opened the door. The elevator thing is annoying but I have never smelled dog pee in the elevator. This is a pet friendly building, if you have a problem with dogs. You should not even consider living here at the first place. There are plenty of dogs living here. I did have some problems with noise at night. But whenever it gets out of control, I call the security or police. The police station near by always responds fast and gets the noise problem quickly.

The maintenance people were always on top of things, but lets not kid ourselves about the downtown area. The gangbangers get off the rail and make weekends fun for all. The homeless are mostly hard luck cases, but there has been violence that ended in death. If you are going to check this apartment out, come back at night. Especially come back on the weekend nights.
