Pros: Close to CSULB, priced reasonably well, and a nice, safe neighborhood.
Cons: My friend lived on the 2nd floor and said there was always noise, but he took it for what it was: a lot of college students living with thin walls. I think a lot of (older) people don't realize that and assume since it's quiet in the day, it will be quiet at night and on the weekends when parties are going on. My neighbor would come over and complain about the noise when I was just walking around the apartment at 9:30PM. Cranky old people shouldn't live here. As for the management, don't expect any help with fixing anything. I've complained about the same thing three times, in which they came out to fix it, it broke the next day, and I've complained again with no answer. The managers act irritated that they have to deal with you, and are sarcastic and condescending when you talk with them. They use to have a few nice girls when I first moved in but I'm guessing they got rid of them because they were actually helpful and nice. And be careful signing all those contracts. They have you sign one that says they can come into your apartment if there's a problem (like if they smell gas or something), but they came in and basically cased the place to see if I had anything I wasn't supposed to (like pets or a waterbed) while I was sleeping. I guess they didn't find what they were looking for, but the thought that they could come in ANYTIME they want is disturbing.
