I will say that I rarely had much noise to deal with, and I had a lot of square feet for the money. It was easy to get in and out, near the 710 and the 91. That's about all the good that can be said about the place.

I'm used to the staff being incompetent, but this place was the worst. Most of the office employees were college girls that would work for a few weeks and disappear. The manager would lie to your face, then pretend not to remember you the very next day. Or he might have actually been that stupid, I never could tell.

I only lived here eleven months, and the water was shut off at least five or six times. For hours, with no warning, when I needed to get ready for work. Yet it still didn't fix the fact that the water would sometimes come out yellow, or brown. Tasty. I have pictures.

If you ever have to leave your car on the street, it is going to get broken into. I got lucky, but I took everything out of the car every time I had to park outside. There was broken glass all up and down the street most Monday mornings. The Long Beach PD "crime scene cleanup" van was at the building twice. I never found out why, thank God. Police helicopters ("ghetto birds") visited regularly; the cops seemed to be afraid to go there on the ground.

If you're new to the area and looking for a place to eat or something, for the love of God don't go to the west. That's downtown Compton. I didn't know any better and so that's where I had my first close encounter with gangbangers and the ghetto birds. You want to go south, and east, to Bellflower or Lakewood or anywhere else. It's still pretty shabby but you might come back alive.

Note that I lived there in 2001-02. For the sake of anybody that has to live there, I hope it's changed since then.

Nothing has changed I lived there from 05 - 06...I know the yellow brown egg smelling water you are talking about...and the frequent break-ins and don't think because you have garage parking they won't break into that either...paradise gardens is just an upper class name for the projects
